We’re thrilled to introduce Swap, a seamless token conversion feature integrated directly into the Incentiv Portal. It’s designed to make swapping tokens simple, fast, and stress-free.
Want to see how it works? Keep reading to learn how to get started and discover what makes token swapping on Incentiv truly effortless for all users.
How to Swap Tokens?
Swapping tokens on Incentiv is designed to be fast, intuitive, and frictionless. Whether you’re an experienced or a web3 beginner, our streamlined process ensures every step is clear and secure. Here’s how it works:
- Click on ‘Swap’ under Wallet Operations or use the ‘Swap’ button on each asset under My Assets in your Incentiv Portal. The interface shows exactly what you need: your current asset balance and a simple way to select tokens.
- Select the token you want to exchange and the target token you’d like to receive.
There are currently four tokens available for swapping on the testnet. Over time, more tokens will be added as the testnet phase progresses.
- Enter your amount and review the estimated fee, the system handles all calculations automatically.
- Verify the details and confirm the transaction with passkeys or if you’re using an existing wallet like MetaMask or Wallet Connect, simply approve the transaction through your wallet extension.

What Happens Behind the Scenes?
Swap transactions on the Incentiv Portal are powered by its Integrated Decentralized Exchange (DEX), a protocol-native system utilizing an Automated Market Maker (AMM) model directly into Incentiv’s core architecture. This DEX is more than just a standalone tool: it’s the underlying engine that powers token swaps, liquidity provisioning, and automatic conversions across the network.
At the core of this system is a set of smart contracts:
- The Swap Pair Factory dynamically creates and tracks liquidity pool contracts for each token pair.
- The Router Contract handles the logic for the swapping between tokens, whether it’s token-to-token, token-to-native, or even multi-hop transactions.
- WCENT, a wrapped version of Incentiv’s native token, ensures compatibility between native and ERC-20 assets.
- A Swap Library provides utility functions that calculate routing paths, track liquidity pairs, and manage fee logic efficiently.
Incentiv uses a Pair-per-Pool AMM model where anyone can create liquidity pools for any ERC-20 token pair. The only contract deployed by default is WCENT, which acts as a central bridge for routing.
When a user swaps Token A → Token B:
- If a direct A ↔ B pool exists with enough liquidity, the swap uses it directly.
Example: Swapping TCENT ↔ ETH happens in one step if the pool is deep.
- If not, the router typically bridges through WCENT for better liquidity.
Example: Swapping a lesser-known token (e.g. XYZ) to ETH would follow XYZ → WCENT → ETH.
What’s elegant about this model is that it doesn’t rely on prior whitelisting or centralized setup. Instead, new pairs are born in response to actual use, and this is a reflection of demand, and a small but measurable shift in how value flows through the Incentiv network. This approach exemplifies a living, composable system where user activity drives infrastructure, not the other way around.
Why are Integrated DEX and Pair-per-Pool AMM Model Important?
Each time a transaction takes place, a small value-based fee is collected. These fees are automatically routed and, when needed, converted into the appropriate token using the DEX itself. This design allows Incentiv to distribute fees to stakeholders and treasury addresses, without relying on external bridges or conversions. This aligned with Incentiv’s goal where every action contributes to the system.
Because the DEX is tightly integrated with other parts of the ecosystem, it unlocks some powerful user-facing features—like automatic token swapping at the moment of transaction. One such upcoming feature, called the Unified Token, ensures users don’t need to hold native tokens to pay gas fees. The system seamlessly handles conversions in the background, removing a major point of friction for Web3 newcomers.
All of this complexity, routing, fee management, liquidity, is invisible to the user. What they see is a seamless experience that just works, even if they’ve never touched a native token before.
Experience the Future of Web3 Now
Incentiv users can now access token swaps directly on the testnet platform. This update continues our effort to make crypto interactions more straightforward and user-friendly.
We’re focused on building tools that simplify how you manage and trade digital assets. Swaps are the first of several features designed to support a smoother experience.
